Good Morning America and ABC Choose Fayetteville

It's a tricky real estate climate nationwide, that's for sure, but in some markets home values are flat. Flat is the new "up" in a recession!

Actually, a few rare markets have even seen home values rise in the past year, only 11 areas nationwide. In markets like this, sellers are getting close to their asking price and are recouping the money they put into their home when they bought it.

Our Strong Local Economy

Part of Fayetteville’s edge lies in its strong local economy, particularly the presence of nearby military bases that provide reliable jobs. The area also managed to avoid some of the loose lending practices that caused home prices to boom and bust in other parts of the country. “Our market never really got out of whack,” says Greg West, chief of staff of H&H Homes, a local homebuilder.

A national Website that evaluates the housing industry recently ranked Fayetteville's housing market number one in the country. While many US cities are experiencing a housing bust, Fayetteville's market has been ranked as one of the best in the country.
